Do you agree with the author? Why or why not?

Yes I agree with the author, because gun movies do influence people. I know for a fact, because there are younger kids on my street, who somehow get a hold and watch these movies. They think that guns are cool and pretend to use them in games. They may only be young, but if they continue to think the same way when they are older, then that's a problem.

There's a huge distinction between reality and the movies. But we have a casual acceptance of guns and gun violence that we need to change if we want the slaughter of innocent people to slow down and, hopefully, eventually stop.

Gun movies send out a message, having guns are cool and it's ok to carry them with you. It's doubtful the director meant to send out that message, but it's there all the same.
